Brother, the fact of the matter is that if a bearded man wanted to start going to your church there is very little you could to do to stop him. If you denied him entrance you would be leaving yourself open to a lawsuit that could cost your church its tax free status. You can not deny people their right to worship, even if they have beards. You just don't have that much power, hard as it may be for you to accept.

You are not offended. Offended people cannot serve God due to the offense. Romans 14. You're just part of a group that is cultic in their stands about appearance. I do not think that affects your salvation, though. But God's gonna snap you for this sort of stuff. Serious business.

No I would NOT have the power to stop them from attending but they would NEVER be accepted as a member. I would treat them as a visitor until they died or left. They would not have any priviledge as a member. The congregation would know they are not a member and they would know they are not a member. Anyone can sit in the building but not everyone can be a member.

Black women with unshaved underarms? Plenty. I was born and raised in Gary, IN, a predominantly black town. Why?

Ronzo, are you saying this because you have a beard????? What if your wife suddenly decided to let her hair grow all over her body?? Would that be stupid? Personally, I don't care one way or another if anyone was to have a beard. But there are people attacking a pastor who will give an account to God for those he pastors. If he feels more comfortable with his saints not having a beard, why question his motives?

Thanks for the clarity! It's akin to a "platform" standard!! Soon you will go charismatic.
