His father pastored the church and fell into sin. His father left his mother and kids almost destitute.

He has publically talked about it and how he struggled getting over the bitterness.

I think he was connected to Ford Memorial Temple after that...?? I think.

here is what I have found about his youth..

"Tribbett’s mother was choir director of El Bethel Church of God In Christ in Camden, New Jersey, and his dad was the pastor" from the wikipedia site under his name.

When I searched further it comes across as being COGIC. I would like to know otherwise if you can please find it out. There is actually no site for the church, not sure as to why but there are many churches that do not have sites. If the father fell into sin and the church dissolved could be one reason.

Do you know anything about where he currently attends?

Tye tribbett grew up in affiliation with the PCAF and PAW. He is oneness still to this day. His father used to preach at my uncle's church back in the day sometimes and they'd bring tye and let him play the organ as a young kid so my relatives say.

Wikipedia isn't credible and btw it states right now that "Tribbett was raised in a Pentecostal Apostolic church in Camden, New Jersey."

Double check your sources plus that other guy is giving you first hand experience, which is much more reliable than uh Wikipedia lol Why are hating on tye anyway?

HATE and HATING, not the same. Add I-N-G and it becomes a... idk. I mean... it usually, hm, it implies jealousy/coveting. EXAMPLE: I pulled up to the red light in my benz. Those beazies was doggin. They hatin on my ride and my bling.

Doesn't mean that the beazies hate him/her. They coveted after the automobile and the bling.

I know what it means, that's why I wondered how he/she got that out of a question.

I always find it amusing when someone digs up a two or three year old thread and gets all fired up about the dated contents!

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."
