My Mom is a good cook, but I think I'm better.

The best cook I know is usually whoever happens to be in the kitchen of our local Famous Daves or the owner of Pine Wood Supper Club in Mosinee, WI.

My mother and father cooked and it was all Italian food.
All my brothers and sisters disliked my mother's meatballs.
My father and mother made the greatest Sicilain meat sauce in New York and my mouth is watering just thinking about it.

When I became Apostolic I was turned on to hot spicy food and to this day I love it. My old pastor's wife made the best food since my mom and dad, and my wife is a super great cook.

I really feel bad for those in Wisconsin because of the horrible cooks that are located in that state.

My heart really goes out to you guys.

Much love

In Jesus name

My wife is a better cook than my mom, better than her own mom, and both will admit that.

All I can say is Thank you Jesus...

Our family is blessed in that department.

BTW Fringe Nut, catheads and chocolate gravy...mmmmm.

You're bringing back memories there.
Yes...I am bringing back memories today. At the ole home place, for breaksfast sometimes we'd have redeye gravy, other times sawmill gravy, or chocolate gravy, too. On Thanksgiving, she fixed the turkey, dressing, and giblet gravy along with many vegetables she'd grown in her garden and many pies and cakes. Her country ham, cathead biscuits, and redeye gravy were the best. That and a good cup of her get up and walk coffee. Those were the days, my friend. She worked in the fields and took care of all of us kids and still found time to cook three meals a day most days. Then head to church at night. We had three regular week services and many revivals. Preacher didn't get on the floor until 9 to 9:30 and many nights we were there til 11 and 11:30 pm. I miss her on Thanksgiving most of all.

OK guys, like I said, I'm from Wisconsin so I'm not familiar with all those varieties of gravy.
What is sawmill gravy?
What is chocolate gravy?
What is redeye gravy?

What kind of gravy does Cracker Barrel serve?
I like theirs (whatever it is).

Sawmill Gravy=White Gravy. Chocolate Gravy=Brown Sweet Gravy (Self explanatory). Redeye Gravy=Red Gravy Made from Country Ham

I believe Cracker Barrel serves Sawmill or Brown Gravy (non-Chocolate). I prefer Sawmill white gravy made with flour and milk and a little sausage.

Redeye Gravy is super good when someone knows how to make it. How about Biscuits and Gravy (sawmill), we use to have a place in Arcadia Florida known as Country Gentleman and they made super good Gravy. Super good. Hey how about someone making up a batch right now and shipping it to me in a box?

Wisconsin has no one who can cook (anyone who was ever born there) except maybe some people who can grill Brats but how could anyone mess up a link of sausage on the grill?

Sam is anyone in Wisconsin conservative?
