We require office hours of all of our staff, even the music guys!!! We are pretty structured. So......if I were paid a salary, I would feel like I had to be there as much as everyone else and I just don't want to. If I get my work done, I'm out of there!
Eddie goes in by 5:30-6:00 A.M. almost every day, so he comes home sometimes in the early afternoon. The other staff all works 9-4 or 8-3 four days a week, plus all their other weekend stuff and practices, etc.

I have seen so many lies posted. The best one is the one Triumphant 1 did his best to combat. You know, the hair cutting party thing?
Prominent members of this board chose to believe the lie and even continue to spread it, even though T1 had totally proved it was false.

Exactly what I was getting at....

I totally disagree if that is what you are saying.

When the IRS comes knocking they will ask the same questions....

a little skewered...but he made his money personally
and if the ministry didn't sell the books.. oh well...

Same thing with Joel Osteen. It takes x-amount of books. i want to say 1000 for a book to hit the new york times best sellers list.
his ministry buys double that amount on the first print.
SO everyone of his books will be listed on the New York best sellers list the first week they are out...

prove it.
i think Osteen sells enough books that he doesn't have to help his own cause

I agree with that. I do say that the pastor should have control of 100% of the tithe. It is not Biblical for the church to put him on a salary. The pastor is not the employee of the church.
As far as the evangelist, I would say that $200 a night should be the minimum. I don't "charge" or have a "fee" even though I have been asked what my fee is. I go and accept whatever they give me. God always takes care of my needs.

I agree with this post.
