If this is the modus operandi, it may make the UPCI even more exclusionary...I've already heard of people in UPCI telling others they are lost if they are not part of the organization. If there is the "official 12 apostles and 70 Elders," could this cause more of this type of thinking? ....Instead of people coming together, it just seems like more division to me. LORD, HELP US.
It wasn't said of the UPCI but rather of the "breakaway Tulsa group;" and I'm skeptical of even that.
I can see "Larry B and the Monochromes!" This would be sort of a hybrid Motown and Southern Quartet Sound. They would all dress in the prerequisite black suits and white dress shirts; definitely NO sunglasses, though. That would be too much of an MIB merchandising tie in and the meeting is right after the Holidays.
what do you know about the new Organization adopting the Biblical order of the 12 Apostles and 70 Elders ? since you're in the land of fruits and nuts, I thought you might have the inside info.
I see that you've learned to spread speculation in typical Thad manner: "Did you hear...", "What do you know about...", "Has anyone seen..."
The numbers are not 12 and 70 (I won't tell what they are...), and the titles are not "Apostle" and "Elder" (but something close to: Advisory Board and Regional Directors).
There seems to be an apparent desire to be-grudge, deprecate and be-smirtch a group of fine gentlemen that are living their convictions and not sitting in a corner mourning their loss. While my involvement with this group would be limited at best, I don't think we ought to impugn men that are trying to provide a structure that will forward the Gospel.

Straightline...isn't this what Resolution 4 was trying to do? and do you impugn those with a burden to do so on Television?

To my old friend Randy:
Those that wanted TV should've formed their own structure after SLC. To stay and be divisive was of greater harm to an org. that has now become obsessed and side-tracked with the drama. Had the "tulsa men" stayed-in the divisiveness that others started in SLC would have continued. Two sides, unbending in their beliefs, could not continue under one roof. The nature of the controversy could not bring peace without resolution. Somebody had to leave, and when those that first created the controversy would not, the "other side", because of principle, did.
Always nice to hear from you!

It is interesting to note that some who are leading the charge have been very much anti-organization in the past anyways..
This has been stewing and coming for awhile but Res 4 did bring it on..
I think that there are principled men on both sides of the issue resolved to the "change" regardless of others..imo...
Some will call it principle and others will call it stubborness...but nobody was forcing anybody to change....
