Our local church is experiencing awesome revival. From what I see traveling the UPCI is having one of the greatest revivals ever. We are seeing more people come to God, more miracles, the gifts are opperating more freely in our services. I think this is the greatest day for the church, not just the UPCI.

Quotes from many youngsters taking over daddy's churches...it's too hard too preach against TV these days, so it's easier to let it in. The TV stronghold has been under attack for at least 20 years. It is NOT about advertising.

Could it be that it is tooo hard to preach against it when, if you did, would also have to preach toooo hard against the internet? How can you honestly preach against one and for the other? I think what some see is a consistency problem.

I don't think your opinion of many "youngsters taking over daddy's churches" make if factual... There is a thread that you might could read on here, "Rules and Principles." I tend to believe that's kind of where your "youngsters" may be coming from... Perhaps they don't see TV as a stronghold...

No, but res. 4 didn't remove the anointing or the approval of God from the UPCI.
When we get our other 2 cameras in we will know how res. 4 will effect our community. I really think it will bring even more people to the church.

Personal opinion here:
The resolution has caused or will our most conservative churches to leave. Now the org. can put on a "face" to the world that it isn't a, "mean, controlling, cultish, standards-driven, happiless, mean," organization as it has been in the past. You can live like you want and still make it to heaven...all of those who don't believe that are gone now, so come and join us as we join the rest of the church world.

I didn't say that all do...when you enter the arena of tele vision things must be pleasing and acceptible to the public. The org must be APPEALING to the eye for tv advertising to be advantageous. The message doesn't have to agree with the constituents and, many times it doesn't, just as long as the audience VIEWS it as acceptible.
