What are we worried about if the TV resolution passes maybe there will be no need for a future GC?

Should we rent there rooms, buy there food, fruit baskets, limos. airline ticket AND pay them?

I have to buy my own food on my lunch hr at work and buy my own gas to get to where Im going.

If the UPCI treated there missionaries just HALF as good.....

ROFL
There's already a lot of "costly array" and "jewelry" at GC.

Ideas of How to make UPCI GC Financially Solvent!
Set up peanut brittle stands in the city where it will be held 3 months in advance and sell brittle to the whole town.

How about a 5 minute offering and speech instead of the 2 hour affair they insist on having that drive the masses from their seats even if they were there in the first place.

Have a development drive where for every $100 people spend on new clothing for GC, they send in $20 to support GC.

Raise ministerial dues.

Open the business sessions for video and teleconference, and have those ministers who would otherwise have spent money to attend send it into the general fund.

Scratch theatric lighting from the budget.

Put time limitations on sermons, offerings (above), speeches, special interests in order to save utilities.

I could go on but why...
I wasn't aware that the preachers got paid. My understanding is it's a "privilege" to preach at GC and travel expenses are the only thing that's paid.

How much do preachers get paid?
Does it depend on which service?
Is there some fee per minute?

Going to the people (different locations each year) is a novel idea, but makes more sense for the people to come to them (WEC).
I have said this for years. It only makes sense.
