I don't know if there would be a guilt trip seriously. Let me take two sides here.....Larry Booker and NLYP.
Larry Booker, you know, is going to go to GC with the intention of voting NO. He gets to Tampa and discovers the overwhelming majority of the UPCI is for the Res. I don't think he will have any "guilt" in still voting NO.

----------Let me put it like this...the majority of America is against Bush. However, if I had to choose between Bush and Gore and Bush and Kerry....I would still vote for Bush, with no guilt of what "everyone else is feeling." I think people will still vote their belief.

I may change my mind later, but right now - I see no way in the world this will pass. You are correct.

There will be passionate pleas from the speakers (winners of the survey) on the floor of GC saying that to vote against the "will of the fellowship" would be a travesty, crime, sinful...... you get the picture, right?
Guilt.

On this, I absolutely see your point. The affirmation statement had a huge impact on the fellowship, and I can't say it was all positive either.

I think it will pass and pass handily.

I do get the picture. However, I still think people will vote their intention.....unless there is some impacting revelation.
I mean, who could vote NO on the issue?
(BTW...I am not a minister and can not vote. But, if I could, I would be voting a strong YES.)

I surely hope so. I respect your opinion.
Tell me, why do you think it will pass, Bro?

I agree with you ... but this is a baby step in much needed reform in the area of representation.
Incremental change has always been the progression within the movement. It would be foolish to think that protocol would change simply because of the TV advertising. Yet, I see it is ... SLOWLY.

There are LOTS of libs who can't grow a church either. Hello!
Growing a church isn't a lib or con issue.
