I remember when the last baby was born and they were all over the news. And then just Thursday night (I think it was Thursday) I watched a show where those decorating people (I cant remember who) went in and helped them put together their HUGE new home, it is really really nice and they decorated it wonderfully!!! It was really cool.

Rarely do people find themselves in awe of our convictions about the sanctity of human life, or our faith in God, which are our prime motivators. No, they just stiffen and feel justified in informing me that they've got no interest in paying for my brats, even though I didn't and wouldn't ask them to.

Here in Wisconsin and in most states we ARE paying for everyone else's kids. If your claiming each kid as a deduction on your taxes, then "we're" paying for it -IF you claim any. The majority of our 2000 property tax bill is also going to pay for the "other" kids education.

Okay then.
How many should one be allowed to have then?
What about couples that don't have any, or choose to have only one?
Doesn't it balance out in the end?
For the record, we only have three, because that is all our finances can afford.
Plus both of our parents are dead, my wife's family is overseas, I have two older sister's. One is dying in a nursery home.
The other is working.
Both never married, nor have kids.
It is good to have a support structure as well.

You know, this has been brought up before to us. In fact MANY times. We have decided to not have any kids and are two weeks (shudder) from making it permanent (on my part). There are reasons, for us, not to have kids and there are some TO have kids..... having them around when were old and grey IS one of the better ones FOR having them, and is something we thought long and hard on. But being one of the only reasons wasn't enough to justify it,
I am against ANY limits on how many kids someone should have. A few years ago a judge ordered someone to be sterilized. He wasn't even a molester but apparently he was paying child support to 7 different women and had 10+ kids. If there was ever a case where mandatory sterilization COULD be called for, it was with this idiot. I can think of a number of women who would fit the bill as well, like one I am thinking of who has 5 kids with 5 different men and between tax rebates and child support is cleaning up.
But in either case, I would be dead set against 'mandating' anything. But..... just as I am 110% against any laws effecting free speech and expression of opinions, I DO think that people need to 'behave themselves'.... Same with procreation. God created the physical rules which brings a baby into this world when He created people. When you do a certain act, a baby is the result -right away for some, eventually for others, and never for a lucky few.

I think a woman should decide what her body can handle. If the woman in the article wanted 17 then it is her right.
I only wanted two. I hated being pregnant. I hated every minute of it.
No mas!

We'll I would try to be as accommodating as possible, but I couldn't have handled more than two. Too much pain. Not for me! I thought I could have lost it on that last one.
Don't comment on that last sentence. You just have a way of doing that.

On behalf of the legally-resident progenitors of the The Badger State of Wisconsin,
Thanks.
