We have chosen as a family, not to have broadcast television pumped into our home. However, we believed this was an open door that God had created, and that he could even make 'the rocks cry out' if he wanted to. God is not limited to our own bounderies.
The fact that we had never even seen the show until after ABC approved us is exactly why we were chosen - we are conservative.

I'm curious - how did you find out about the show in the first place if you don't have broadcast tv in your home? (not finding fault. I believe in tv. just curious )

M3 Great question. I think you have to apply to be on the show.

I was watching last night. I really don't care for this show at all. As I flipped around waiting on Heroes I stopped for a few minutes.

There seems to be so much "scripted" response. I find it to be very fake.

I MISSED it, too. I'd be lying if I said I had NO desire to see it - I'm curious, but I WILL NOT WATCH IT.

ABC must have knocked on their door, it seems.

Who's idea was it?

I've never personally watched the show just because I can't make myself get past the title ----- "Wife Swap"???? I know I couldn't do it. I don't say that these folks were wrong. It could very well be that God will use this experience to change alot of people's lives. But I couldn't personally do it. And I know for sure that Walt could never, ever do it!!! It's hard enough for him to put up with me - and he loves me! I can't imagine him putting up with someone he doesn't even love who has values so polar opposite of him. Nope, can't see it!

They all are very fake imo. That's partly why I don't watch them. I have no interest.

I did watch and and have seen other episodes. I have to say that THIS episode seemed to be less scripted--they weren't puppets in the producers hands in a sense.

Since reading the interview though I won't watch Wife Swap anymore (not that I did regularly) I think it is wrong to take scenes and place them where they are best fitting for drama. The name of the show--Wife Swap is just for shock value. To get you to tune in and see how far they take it
