It doesn't matter how she knew, she knew and didn't obey after listening to the Serpents enticing way of making her feel she could have more than what she had.

Why and how could that happen in Eden? Does it mean that Satan is able, here and now, to override our thoughts and feelings - to a certain extent?
We have the power of choice, but we can be influenced by Satans voice or God's voice.
Granted Satan is not a gentleman at all.

One old Prophet said that God Leads & Satan pushes!

Also, don't forget, we have a flesh that is still fallen flesh that is "prone" to sin.

I guess the real question is this,

"How crucified is our flesh?"

Excellent point!

But, Ron, why was Eve able to be tempted when she lived in perfection?

She listened to the "wrong voice" that is the chance you take when free will is involved.

The alternative is slavery & robots!

Not a pleasant choice for God (or us)!

We do it to our children everyday, "listen to me don't do this or you will have thus, and thus happen to you!"

Was Eve around to see God pronounce judgment on Satan? No.
She was a ignorant of the consequences.
She paid, Adam paid, and mankind has been paying since.

God's attributes are better understood when place in contrast.

You are right. My husband just said that I have it wrong. They were in a state of innocence and not perfection. They still had a free will.

He said, "Is there anything else I can help your little mind with, ML?"

Hey, why am I laughing?????!!!!

Man is paying for that? Well, I'm good with that - bald heads - the ultimate payback!! Brewhahahahahahahahahhaa!

It's awful quiet around here.

And, BTW, you didn't read that passage very well.
Quote:
Ephesians 5:21Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.

22Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.

23For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.

24Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.

25Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
The passage begins training them to submit to each other and then breaks it down to the part each must take.

Being that a lot of things are being discussed there, I especially wanted to focus on this portion of the discussion.

I was reading in Acts 5, concerning Ananias and Sapphira. I found it interesting that Peter would say in Acts 5:3, "But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land?

I heard Jeff Arnold saying, once, that we didn't understand. It is the Devil that is working with people's minds.

It seems, IMO, that we would normally view Ananias and Sapphira as just being selfish and carnal, but the Bible says that "Satan filled their hearts to lie.""

So, is everything we do influenced by Satan?

Here's a post I was working off of - courtesy of Digging!

Thanks for the imput!
Humane nature is evil and needs no devil to be evil. Many pass the buck and blame the devil for everything that happens in their life, instead of blaming themselves for their own evil or stupid doings in the matter at hand.
