Re: "Food Insecurity" Issue

If you only have $10.00 dollars to spend on food for your family, you are going to head to McD and get the most calories for your money. It is less expensive to eat fattening food.

could get a pack of ham and a loaf of bread for 10 bucks maybe have enough left over for half gal of milk.

could get a 2 lb bag of rice and a pack red beans and some jiffy cornbread.

could get a ten pound bag of potatoes and a pack of ground beef and have some "meat and potatoes" for ten bucks

but your right people would rather have one 10 dollar meal from some fast-food joint.

No, if I have $10 to spend on food, no way am I going to McD's.

First, $10 is not enough anymore to feed a family of 5 at McD's.

I'd rather, as Apostolic1ness posted, go to a grocery store or market and get far more with that $10.

Re: "Food Insecurity" Issue

I see people buying groceries with their food stamp card. They buy more for a family of three or four than I do for a family of eight. They load up with 300 dollars of garbage processed poisoned junk food, they all weigh 100 pounds more than they should, and they load it into cars newer and nicer-looking than mine. They all carry gigantic "smart phones", wear name brand tennis shoes, and from what I've seen often have big screen TVs and home theater surround sound systems at home.

Just my observations over the years.
