Nobody really bothers about IP addresses anymore because most ISPs assign random IPs. Sometimes you will be listed as being located at your ISPs corporate headquarters (because that's where the IPs are "sitting") depending on the ISP.

Well, long long ago we had something like a Vbulletin forum, and it was able to show who was who if they had multiple nicks. It was their IP address I believe.
But I just know how to type. Don't understand how a bot can post, or join a forum, and hold a discussion.
