Re: End Time Revival? Prove it...

Quote:
Do you have scripture that would describe any of this, as an "end time restoration of ministries after so long time of failure/weakness"?
I will present the case and I know you will judge.

Quote:
You don't think there are any Christians who want to be like Jesus? Who desire to be a faithful bride to Christ? Of being mature in the Lord?
I think there are millions. But the doctrine of today QUENCHES the desire. It leads most to think they already are faithful and mature and like Jesus, even tho two of the most popular doctrines of the hour are "we all sin everyday" and "Christians aren't perfect just forgiven".

Quote:
You don't think anybody has this "vision" already?
I would say very few. Generally speaking, you mostly hear that people should live for Christ and when you die you go to Heaven. Or a good number DO at least teach a rapture vision. Live for Christ until the rapture.

Now dont get me wrong a "rapture vision" is very good to have. We all should have it. But a more complete vision would also include the part about Jesus ruling the nations with us as kings and priests.

Quote:
What kind of vision? Do you mean like this?

Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.
(Proverbs 29:18)
That is a definite part. If we get a vision BIGGER THAN OURSELVES we will (hopefully) get serious about obedience.

Also, you seem be saying that the church is not currently unspotted and unblemished. That means that you are saying the church is not holy? That it has not been sanctified? That, in effect, Jesus has failed to do his husbandly duty? After all, the verse plainly says Jesus is the one who does this, He is the one who sanctifies the church so that it would be without spot or blemish. And, husbands are to be like Jesus, and give their lives for their wives, just like Jesus did, in order to prepare His wife blameless and unblemished. And yet you are suggesting this is not the case?

I am not saying every assembly is perfect. I am just saying that I think you and some others have a mistaken notion about what that verse is talking about.
Obviously not everyone will be perfected. IMO one reason Christ has not yet come is he is waiting on such a people.

James 5:7

7Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.

The Lord is active with his people and yet this can still happen.

Isaiah 5:1-4

1Now will I sing to my wellbeloved a song of my beloved touching his vineyard. My wellbeloved hath a vineyard in a very fruitful hill:

2And he fenced it, and gathered out the stones thereof, and planted it with the choicest vine, and built a tower in the midst of it, and also made a winepress therein: and he looked that it should bring forth grapes, and it brought forth wild grapes.

3And now, O inhabitants of Jerusalem, and men of Judah, judge, I pray you, betwixt me and my vineyard.

4What could have been done more to my vineyard, that I have not done in it? wherefore, when I looked that it should bring forth grapes, brought it forth wild grapes?

The Lord planted the vineyard with good seed. Yet wild grapes appeared. There must be at least some room for freewill.

Re: End Time Revival? Prove it...

Now just a general statement about my approach to the end time. I believe the book of Revelation starting in chapter six is showing us THE END TIME. IMO Matthew 24 is Christ speaking of the END TIME.

I understand the controversy concerning this. I see Matt 24 as having a partial fulfillment in the first century but it could not have been the only fulfillment. The generation he spoke of would see ALL of the things which he spoke. Since heaven and earth did not pass away nor did Jesus come with all his holy angels I see yet a future fulfilling of his prophecy which would coincide with the giving of THE REVELATION to his apostle John.

So when I present my end time vision I realize some will energetically attempt to refute it. Nonetheless I will present what I consider the proof of an end time move of God.

Now my understanding of this move is that it will primarily affect people that currently (to that time) have received the Holy Spirit baptism. Most of such have not received even the full revelation of who Jesus is. Also those who walk in Oneness truth have a ways to go to catch up to the foundation.

I will show that the FULL GOSPEL will be preached in the end time. A good number of the Spirit baptized people will grow up into Christ and perhaps at least for a while into the tribulation outright sinners will be saved.

That is the good news what I might call an end time revival or "great move of God".

The bad news is in spite of the good that will happen there will yet be a falling away. Between increasing persecution and increasing deception a great number will fall away.

Matt 24: 8-14

5For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. 6And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. 8All these are the beginning of sorrows.

9Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake. 10And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. 11And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. 12And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. 13But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. 14And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

So along with a great move of God in the endtime there will be a great falling away.

Re: End Time Revival? Prove it...

Let me see if I understand what is being said here. We are to be perfect, and sinless. This was already established in another thread. Yet, the Faith once delivered unto the saints is to be fully restored just before the End. God is looking for a bride without spot and wrinkle, and that was established before in the sinless perfection thread, but now it looks like what Aquila was arguing for is being posted here that now the tribulation will be another outpouring where people will receive the fullness of the Gospel? If I'm incorrect in my take away from what is being posted please forgive me. I just need to have this all clarified.

The boldened hits the nail on the head. As to what Chris said I must have missed it as at a certain point I pretty much withdrew from that thread. Nonetheless if Chris said somewhere what I am saying good for him.

Nonetheless let us not bring it into this discussion unless it be something relevant to this discussion. No need to ask forgiveness I will clarify in following posts things I believe by scripture
