Not good. This will be a tax on Americans.
What we need to do is put fees on Western Union and Money Grams to Mexico.

So far so good. He's working hard to fulfill many campaign promises. I'm impressed thus far. 13 days in.

I'd like to see him actually move the embassy to Jerusalem though it will probably make the world explode. To his credit at least its been discussed. I can't imagine it actually happening, but we shall see.

And I'd like to see him trash the Iran agreement.

Re: First 100 Days

I am impressed by Trump's decisiveness so far, but don't like all the executive orders. I hope that Congress follows up on these, and makes them law, instead of just EOs.

Re: First 100 Days

Yesterday POTUS met with Sheriff's from across the nation. One Sheriff, who has had dozens of lawsuits against him, complained about a TX State Senator who was trying to get a bill passed which would keep law enforcement entities from stealing people's money (they call it "asset forfeiture") unless they were first convicted of a crime. Sounds reasonable, right? Why should law enforcement be allowed to steal someone's money unless they've committed a crime? And in many cases, people who were cleared of wrongdoing were not given their money or property back. It was stolen!

While hearing the Sheriff whine, POTUS "joked" (that's the claim, though he appeared to be completely serious and didn't crack a smile or laugh) and asked who the State Senator was, so they could "destroy his career."

With the nomination of Sessions as AG, this is troubling. Sessions is a big supporter of law enforcement theft.

I read that Rand Paul is considering or will be introducing a bill to limit asset forfeiture by requiring a conviction before law enforcement can seize a person's assets. I hope it passes with a veto proof majority (though I doubt it will).

Re: First 100 Days

We already have a law on the books that forbids "asset forfeiture". It's called the Fourth Amendment.

Oh wait, doesn't seem to do much good, these laws written on paper...

Isn't there a process to get your stuff back? Like a form to fill out?

Yeah, it's called "Dear Santa" and postage is still only one stamp. Probably because the North Pole is occupied by DoD assets so its not considered foreign mail.

Re: First 100 Days

Trump's week: his Natl Security Advisor, Flynn resigned in shame and scandal. His Sr. Advisor Kellyanne was cited for ethics breach. His spy agencies are leaking reports that his aids allegedly colluded w/Russia - which means Trump and his spox have lied over and over again to the public. And his Dept of Labor nominee withdraws.

Also, it's only Wednesday...

To be fair, the Flynn thing was blown way out of proportion. And the leaks are directly related to the Flynn issue.
