After all did not Peter denied Jesus three times and yet Jesus received him back?
and not only Peter but also the other disciples left Jesus in his hour of most need, yet he took them back.
Looks like Paul gave Demas the old heave-hoe. Who ever those "super apostles" were, Paul didn't mince words, he called them messengers of Satan. Jesus in Matthew 23 peeled the Pharisees, and He told the religious Judeans that their father was the devil?

I always thought it was funny...

Every man's conservative is somebody else's liberal, and every single one of us would probably be considered liberals by the average Christian living in the first to the third centuries.

Would you accept as saved a lady who was baptized in the name of Jesus but had short hair and wore a wedding ring?

Or is she without any hope and completely lost?

Would you accept as saved a lady who was baptized in the name of Jesus but had a beard and wore nothing but a Batman costume?

That sure would of stopped Jesus from getting in trouble with the Judean elite, and religious leadership. It would of also worked out for John the Baptist, hey, he may of kept his head? Paul would of never called anyone a messenger of Satan, or anathema if he follow your statement. He may of never had to flee the Judeans who died hungry due to their vow.

Re: My Opinion

I am not the judge...of anyone...

I do not cut my hair or even wear a ring...however Sherri and I are good friends...We know how to focus on what we see alike. Brother Epley is my friend...he does not believe in women preachers and I do...we know how to get along.

Someday we will all stand before the Judge of the earth...He will judge us all with righteous judgement.

Yes, I know there are some people that are just not right....I understand that...Paul may have used hard language at times but he warned people with tears also...Even our Jesus used hard sayings at times...but he loved beyond measure...and was merciful and kind even to those that had no value to society...

I think we can learn balance from the scriptures....The Holy Ghost changes and makes us new creatures. We have a little brother in our church that killed 2 people...he himself told me the more he hurt one of them the more blood he sought...I cannot imagine that....but if anyone hugs me first it is always him...Oh! what God's love does....I just sat down with another brother tonight (of course with Brother Alvear) he had been a hit man before he came to the Lord...who knows how many he killed....

Dear ones we must see others through the eyes of love...yes...I know a lot about tough love...got a girl right now at my house that has been into everything you can think of....

Just won a boy from the world of drugs...Friends just because I talk about love does not mean I do not know how to be firm...however I hope even then kindness shows through...
