This is not the thread to get into that. I was making a joke. However, this is not a topic you want to debate me on.

Not like it matters as I am nobody, but I think Elder Epley has a point. It seems to be happy fun time around here when someone is "poking the bear" by jabbing any conservative Apostolic. Mock us, demean us, ridicule us and its all a big game. Haha those silly old fashioned legalists. They are so ignorant and foolish. Hahaha.

Of course, when one feels pushed too far and they fire back, then it becomes ban time? Hmmm.

Of course, that's not to fully defend EB's actions. I find it odd though that THIS event is what got him in trouble. Has no one really ready the posts he has made in the past year? On many more than a handful of occasions EB has acted like the right wing version of ol' DA and no one ever seemed to object. So why now? Because a big name preacher complained on another forum? As I said, I have just been lurking, but EB has said plenty of offensive and over the line things. He has routinely singled out and badgered other posters. Yet nothing...until he makes a single remark about a big name preacher's kid.

Not arguing at all that infractions and discipline weren't called for. Just concerned that the timing is a bit suspect IMO.
x one million.

Re: Admin actions recently taken

I saw the quote. I was reading the discussion as well as some other related statements. I did not get the impression that anything was being said about Pixler or his daughter or family in any direct manner. Does Pixler wear Birkenstocks? Did anyone even remember where the whole Birkenstocks reference came from? I do believe it was originally in regard to CC1s pastor's video that he posted.

I looked up the Pixler family and did not find any images of his daughter looking anything like Morticia Addams.

I don't believe he was intending to mean that Pixler's daughter looked like anything. I believe he was saying that Pixler had taken a wrong turn, and that too many people these days think it's 'cool' to go full retard and (insert the controverted comments here), celebrating weirdness and aberration. I did not at all get the impression that anyone was directly (or even indirectly) attacking or insinuating anything about anyone in particular, other than the unequivocal belief that Pixler had gone in a wrong direction and his supporters were being irrational for celebrating it.

As I said in another thread, we here at AFF are all too often too quick to assume the worst. And to make determinations without asking the individual 'what are you trying to say?' I mean, it's not like anyone might be MISTAKEN in their opinion as to what was MEANT, right? No, that couldn't POSSIBLY be the case.

As for Pixler posting on another forum a complaint about what was said here... I know that if I read something that I thought might have been a jab at my family, and it had upset my family, I would be HERE making my case, not somewhere else...

Just saying...

Would I assume correctly that the poster of said remarks would need to clear up what he really meant? You believe it was meant in a certain context I believe differently. Which one of us is wrong?? There is no way to know without the EB explaining himself. Now with that being, said you and I could argue till the cows come home on who is correct. Does this not sound exactly what we do on here concerning most of Paul's Epistles???

You bring it up, then get upset with me for responding. Good grief.

The admin team represents a broad range of opinions and views. They were chosen because they demonstrated an ability to post in a civil manner and act fairly.

This thread will not be allowed to develop into a debate on the qualifications or fairness of admin and anybody doing so will have action taken against them whether they are liberal, moderate or conservative. Fair warning. As others have suggested if someone has issues with admin they can contact us privately.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."
