I'm still going through Alter's Psalms. I'm just over half way through.
I am also reading Jerusalem: The Biography by Simon Sebag Montefiore.
Pretty good so far. A very graphic, hard to read depiction of the Roman siege of the city and it's eventual fall right near the beginning. It's no wonder that a preterist can see Jerusalem being destroyed by Titus as the "Great Tribulation".

The Life of Alfred Garr by Steve Thompson. Garr was a contemporary of Harry Morse. But he does not mention him. He does mention Garr and Frank Ewart had revivals together.

Ought to be a must read for all believers, and especially anyone in ministry.

Still reading both. I haven't been reading too much these last few weeks.

Today I purchased The Emperor of All Maladies by Siddhartha Mukherjee.
Cancer has claimed my wife's sister, and is now claiming my wife's other sister, not to mention grandparents on both sides. I thought this book might give perspective and insight.

Sorry EB, didn't see your question until now.
It's pretty sobering. I have a few chapters left to finish yet, but it's been informative thus far.

From Stage to Pulpit. The biography of Herbert Buffum.
Buffum was a contemporary and friend of Harry Morse.
Still working on that book.
