I think that American Indians can say the American flag offends them. How about a race of people forced off their land, pushed upon reservations to be starved and killed by diseases brought to them by foreign settlers. Many under the banner of the red, white and blue. There is not any nation that has been perfect, but to deny states the right to present monuments and flags of their history is absurd. Especially if the large majority of the people of S. Carolina are supportive of it. Material things are not racist, but it is people who are racists. Paul said that there is no idol, but if some person eats meat conscious to the idol then their faith makes it a sin. The confederate flag is not a racists symbol to most people in this country. I personally as a Christian have no interest to fly a flag that could cause people to doubt my motives.
