Yes he had to go. He wasnt playing ball with his oil. Look at his country before and after. More people have died during a so called operation freedom then while he was in charge. Why arent we kicking out the dictators in Africa? Some of them make Saddam look like a saint. Give me a break with that tired narrative. Same with Ghaddafi. He wasnt the boogeyman the west made him out to be. Just like Saddam, he was defying the west when it came to his oil.

I somewhat agree with you here. Oil has driven a lot of our conflicts in the ME, but IMO the Iraq War was mostly a personal vendetta W Bush had against Hussein for trying to assassinate HW Bush.
Iraq is unstable and Libya has become a mecca for terrorists, thanks to Hussein and Ghaddafi being overthrown.
And yes, there are African dictators which are far worse than either Hussein or Ghaddafi and they are still in power.

Just curious as to which dictators are worse than Saddam or Muammar?

C'mon on man. Look at these warlords that are running around in Africa. They slaughter whole villages at a whim and have no remorse.

Re: If Hussein Was Still Alive
Dictators and warlords are an entirely different meaning to me.
I would put Saddam, Muammar and Adolf right up there together.
It's just that Adolf had more tools to make his plans with.

How do you know when it's real news or not? Do you get a feeling in the back of your neck?

But why does it always have to be us to take out these guys? Nobody appreciates it. If we had energy independence we could cut all ties with the lunatics of the middle east.
