Not so much in the name of Christ as in the name of the RCC. The beginning of the Inquisitions, per your link, was aimed at Catholics the RCC viewed as heretics. Latter Inquisitions branched to non-Catholics, but IMO it was more about the RCC than about Christ.

Nevertheless, they were Christians, even in the loosest sense, and President Obama mentioned the Inquisition in his speech as well.

What I'm saying is that the President made a valid point at the prayer breakfast, even if his point insulted our own sense of moral uprightness.

I don't see anything about Christians in the quote you provided.

I did find this, however:
