Shall we sin because we are under grace and not under law? God forbid!
In any event, the apostle Paul said one of the Lord's commandments was for women to keep silent in the church.

Re: Women Preachers
Is it POSSIBLE that a 'woman preacher' is violating the commandment of the Lord about women being silent in the churches?
Yes, it is POSSIBLE.
Is it POSSIBLE that a woman who does NOT preach, and does NOT speak out in the churches, is violating the commandment of the Lord about women being silent in the churches?
No, it is NOT possible.
If a woman is silent in the churches, she is not violating any command of scripture.
If a woman is NOT silent in the churches, she MAY BE violating a command of scripture.
Think about it.

You don't believe God called those women? If so, then they weren't in that kind of power because no men were rising to the challenge. God's will be done in all things. He's not so powerless that He can't find a man to do any job He wills.
If not, then you have to believe they put themselves into that position, and it begs the question, why did God speak through them if He didn't put themselves into those positions?
A judge wasn't anything like a sheriff or prosecutor. They judged all matters, even spiritual ones. They were called on by kings and priests to give a Word from God. If a man was needed, there were priests that were willing and able and also called of God to do His will.

No other reasons are needed. It has nothing to do with individual ability, intelligence, or any such thing. It has everything to do with proper Divinely instituted order in the church.

Please cite the law in scripture.

True. But perhaps in all the men of Israel, none were pure enough in their spirit for God to call them to the duty.

I believe a woman can speak in the assembly... as long as she's under her elder's authority to do so, and has her husband's blessing. However, I don't believe she can hold the office of pastor/bishop/overseer/elder... whatever we'd like to call it. It's not because a woman is incapable. It's not because a woman isn't intelligent enough to do it. It's simply because it upsets the divine order of the family. Think about it, if a woman were a pastor... her husband would be REQUIRED to spiritually submit to her. That completely derails a husband being "head of the wife". It would be God contradicting Himself. In addition... God gave no set requirements for women being overseers. God did give us the set requirements for men being overseers. For example, an overseer must be "the husband of one wife". If you're a married woman, you have a "husband"... unless you married a woman. lol

You make many good points. However, the same law that they operated under allowed a man to have more than one wife... and to have concubines. The NT is a superior covenant. It has higher standards. It perfectly reflects God's will for mankind. The Law doesn't. So... even if God specifically called women to serve as judges in the OT... it doesn't mean that God will call women to be elders in the NT.
Can you give me where God set the requirements for female elders? The requirements for male elders is stated twice in the NT. If God desired women elders... where are their requirements???
