Western culture is really twisted. However, because our culture is so overly-sexualized, it is more prudent for women to breastfeed in private. Not preferable, in my opinion, but prudent and discreet.
Kicking a woman out of church for nursing a baby seems like overkill, unless she was really baring a lot of skin or being purposefully shocking in some way.

Dord, I was referring to the above comment.

Apostolic is defined on AFF as:
- There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
- The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
- Every sinner must repent of their sins.
- That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
- That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
- The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

I almost erased my comment because it sounds so ludicrous that most people don't believe it is true. Sadly it is true. I have a dear friend who I am still friends with today who walked through that time with me, and went through much worse with that man after we left than I even did.
And the saddest part to me is that he still is a licensed UPC minister in that church still today... preaching his "gospel"....

But, I think our society is a little too uptight about nursing mothers.
As long as the mother is nursing discretely and keeping herself covered, who cares.
I think the problem is really the "breast obsession" of our culture, seriously, think of it as a cow udder. If you were at the zoo and you saw a monkey nursing her baby, would that freak you out?

A monkeys breast has never been appealing.

So, therefore every time I would walk out to nurse my baby he would rant and rave about women missing church to nurse their baby!
