It's just not true. Christianity is about FREE WILL GIVING. This is CHARITY = AGAPE LOVE. Do you think the US Government is capable of agape love? Of course not. Agape love is demonstrated by individual human beings, not governments.
The fact that government, by force of law, TAKES money from some to allegedly use for others in need makes what government does not charity but conficatory taxation. Taxes are burdens, they are historically despised and have been the cause of not a few revolts, rebellions and revolutions. Christian charity has NEVER caused riots or coup d'etats.
You need to reread the Bible and discover what true Christian charity is. It benefits both giver and receiver. Taxes only benefits the government bureaucrat that gets paid by tax dollars and the people that receive the services the tax dollars pay for. When you take giving out of the equation, it ceases to be a Christian concept.
And what the Bible is defy itely against is debt. The borrower is slave to the lender. Our nation a d our children and grandchildren will be slaves to the lenders of our debt if we don't cut spending.
If we dont cut spending we won't have anything to support the poor with. We'll ALL be poor.
You need to revisit true Christianity. The Federal Government is NOT Christianity.

I'm a liberal, in many ways. I understand the conservative message. Since I'm torn, I just choose to error on the side of compassion. I'm just sayin'....you can believe me cuz I live in a fairly large city across the street from a huge section 8 apartment complex.

Should gov let all the criminals free and forgive them as bible teaches? People pick and chose what biblical principle gov to live by as long as it matcheswhat they think gov should be doing?

I hope not. LOL. Sorry for confusion but I meant to convey that forgiveness is biblical and should gov forgive them and let them go on basis they are forgiven.
