Cindy you can still use a electric bill for ID in Texas to vote.
Like Texas, ID laws across the country were enacted just before the election in a effort to decrease democrat voters. Some states actually decreased the hours of state offices were a person could get picture IDs.

Texas and other states have tried for a long time to get ID. The Demos always resist it, because they know that it would root out some of their illegitimate votes. If you are too ignorant to get a picture ID, maybe you are too ignorant to be voting. There should be some elementary requirements to vote, for crying out loud.

So you think the elderly who haven't driven in 20 years, who have no drivers license are ignorant?

With voter ID it should be easier to keep more folks from voting than are registered to vote in a particular county. This should NEVER happen in America, but it does!

It has been done before this election, Light. But, it had to be a driver's license, not just a state ID.

I have actually seen people use their driver's license to vote in years past.

Re: Voter Fraud Is A Myth? How About 19,605 to 0?

You know some folks are hard to figure out. They are so simple minded in their opposition to voter ID. Might cause someone a little hardship every two years. Now, the elderly and the poor get to the doctors office, to the grocery store, to the bank to cash their social security check and their welfare check, but they can't get to the office to get a voter ID card every two years. It seems to me like the use of voter ID might be causing those who major in voter fraud more problems than it is causing the poor and elderly. What do the elderly do when they pick up their prescriptions? Some of mine require a picture ID. Now that's not fair!!!!

Heh, dumbos, get a life..... and a voter ID.

That's stupid. The only difference is that one allows you to drive. Both are legitimate forms of identification.

I'm in favor of a national ID and driver's license that will also serve as a voter ID.
