To be fare to the idiot principle in the great north west...
She was not suggesting they should not serve peanutbutter sammiches in school. (although I would like clarification if she actually thinks that)
She was saying that teachers in class should not have a test with a question like:
if Bobby had 3 peanutbutter sammiches, and eats one of them how many does he have left?
The point there being that certain immagrants may not know what a sammich is because they never saw one. the question would be confusing.
I still think she is a moron.

How stupid... I don't eat insects but if someone asked my kid "If Botika-ra-ra had three fat juicy beetles and ate one, how many would he have?". The answer would still be... ewww... two!
