Re: I Can't Stand Romney.
Romney is a man with no conviction.
Newt is a man with no morals.
I can't bring myself to vote for either of them and go to sleep at night.
I agree Aquila I can't stand Romney, and it's the fakeness, I don't believe ANYTHING he says. He's a career political liar of the worst kind, he changes his positions like I change clothes. And YES the Mormon thing scares me, even though Catholics and Black liberation theologists scare me too so when it comes to religion there's no real win-win there.
Even when Romney "goes on the attack" in the debates as the media puts it he comes off more as a spoiled whining child then someone who has a consistently conservative message.
I'm a Paulite, but actually might end up voting for Santorum, just because I like is social policy and he's not to bad on foreign policy. Neither Mittens or the Grinch have any real chance of changing washington. If you want change then vote Paul or Santorum, if you want to be whining about how bad things are in 2012, Mittens and the Grinch are the candidates for you.

I've never said anything about his Mormonism. That doesn't make any difference to me. But, please don't call him a Conservative.

You can demonize anyone by sound bites taken out of context. All four contenders say they will repeal, Obamacare.

Re: I Can't Stand Romney.
I will support the winner in the GE because he will be better than BHO. However, I would sooner trust Romney the Gingrich. There is something about that man that does not sit well with me. I believe that it may be because he is possibly the biggest serpent in this race. He has been the most corrupt individual on stage (3 marriages because of his adultery/ethics charges), he has lied about his position on man made global warming, he has lied about his position on the Libyan conflict, he has lied about Mitt Romney, he has lied about his own record on required healthcare mandates, and he has embraced leaders from the other side openly (supporting and complementing the Senator Clinton, photo ops with Speaker Pelosi, and many others).
At least with Mitt Romney I know what I am getting.

I believe Newt has turned his life around, however I still believe Romney is the best man for the job, he has a stable history.
He also, just like Reagan has moved more and more conservative. He resided in one of the most liberal states in the US, and challenged Ted Kennedy for the Senate, leaned right as governor even though 85% the state's Congress was liberal Demos.
Came out of that and turned even more conservative, in alignment with Mormon tradition, family values and strong work ethic. His religion informs his politics, but he will not try to convert us to Mormonism. LOL
If Newt, Santorum, or Paul win the nomination, I will support them.

Romney is being totally dishonest to keep pushing the $300,000 ethics violation, in Florida, against Gingrich. He was cleared of that charge two years later and Romney knows it, but he won't stop the lie. I can't stand him for it. And I can't stand Drudge and Fox trying to make Gingrich out to be some Marxist anti-Reagan loon. Sure, he is grandiose like Perry described him, but at least he has admitted and lived up to his wrongs.
I like Santorum much more than the other two, as a social conservative, even though he won't be able to get the nomination.
It is starkly and totally disgusting that Romney continues to stoop so low to lie and use his money to win the nomination. What a creep.
I'm with Mark Levin, who supports Santorum, if that is what Conservatism is about, I don't want to be a part of it.
to Mitt Romney. What a disgusting creep.

Fact-checking Mitt Romney on the Massachusetts individual mandate
Romney insists that the mandate is a conservative approach that zeroes in on just the free-riders — that it leaves the rights of others essentially untouched. In reality, however, Massachusetts residents are forced to buy insurance or pay a fine to the state even if they do not use any health services paid for by the public.
True individual responsibility involves risks and rewards that are borne by individuals and enjoyed by individuals. Whether at the federal or state level, individual mandates to free politicians of the consequences of earlier laws are the refuge of big government thinkers, not those who wish to return America to a free society.

Re: I Can't Stand Romney.
Quote:
Romney’s claims about Newt’s ethics charge are false and misleading
Mitt Romney’s key debate line of late is that Newt resigned in disgrace over ethics charges. It’s even featured in the most recent Romney advertisement (not his SuperPAC) running in Florida.
There was no crime or ethics violation committed. The Republican Party, which retook the presidency in the 2000 election was better off for Newt having put the matter to rest when he did rather than dragging out the fight for years.
Newt also did not resign his Speakership because of the ethics charges, as the WaPo fact checker found. He resigned two years later because Republicans, though holding the House, did not do as well as expected in the 1998 House elections.
The other irony of all this is that in the mid-1990s while Newt and others were fighting for the Contact with America, taking back the House, Romney joined with the Democrats in attacking the conservative agenda.
So the next time Romney states at a debate or runs an ad alleging that Newt resigned in disgrace because of ethics charges, remember Mike Huckabee’s line from 2008 in response to Romney attack ads.

Just maybe the "establishment" wants someone that can and will win. Romney is ahead in Florida. Newt did not do well in the last debate.

Re: I Can't Stand Romney.
I do not know that Rick Santorum will be in the race much longer since he had to leave Florida to be with his family do to one of their children having a health problem.
