They idolized the law rather than believing in Jesus...yes, it would be hard to strip away everything your life was to be at that point...
But who hasn't given up their life to follow Christ?? Shouldn't everyone be able to to this?

What a marriage it would be if we decided each day what we were going to do toward our spouse with the criteria of "I don't think she would divorce me for that".
After nearly 16 years of marriage (and 3 kids) we have never had one problem with our witness or with anyone viewing us as anything but married. There have been no issues with gasps, stares or flirts.

If you were a pastor, would you allow another preacher that wears a wedding ring to preach to the congrgation?

That reminds me of a message I heard a preacher preach one time. He was talking about the "dogs digesting her." He went on to declare, "I can just see someone walking through the field and saying, 'Oh, no! I just stepped in some Jezebel.'"

Absolutely.
If there was a preacher with a good word & excellent spirit who differed from my convictions on that subject I would not withhold having him minister because he differed on things that I do not view as salvational.

No rings in this church. There were none when I got here and there's not going to be any now.
