from what I understand, Verbal Bean was a good man --a man of prayer, fasting and consecration.

He did have his share of people that disagreed with him.
Some disagreed with him over the strong stand he took regarding "outward standards. Some disagreed with him because of the way he got people to repeat a certain nonsense phrase and called it "speaking with tongues."

Sam, thanks for the last post. I really enjoy the VB ministry-at least through what I have read, but I really want to get the full "flavor" of the man-good and bad. What makes the Bean the bean. LOL.

That is true from what I can find. I know that Bro. I.H. Terry tried to keep him in the UPCI, but Bro. Bean and some of the others were too dissatisfied to stay in. My Father has said that the leadership was made of good men, and he knew some of the preachers who went to the AMF.
