We can let humans know that life expectancy is worse for gays than for smokers. In fact if we move against smoking we should have laws against homosexuality. Clintons surgeon general said the life expectacny for a gay was 43 years. They even have much higher rates of auto accident fatalities.

When saying, "your religion," are you saying that you are not a christian? I am curious. It is not possible to Enfluince the government with out bringing your beliefs into it.

How does forcing sex ed. on children protect your right if religion?
The Gov. has ne business teaching children sex ed. period. It is against the christian code of conduct and should not happen.

No, that is not what I meant. I was speaking in general terms.

The issue is not the sex ed in particular. The issue is restricting a certain type of legal people from being discussed in public schools.

I ask again, what legal reason is there to restrict them from being talked about?

There is a difference between being acknowledged or mentioned and being promoted and glorified.

Whenever a person is mentioned, is it necessary to clearly explain the person's gender, race, social status, sexual preference, religion, etc. ?

No, none of those groups are being restricted, which is a good thing.

Judging from the comments in this thread, however, people want to restrict teaching gay history in schools, which would be banning talking about a particular group of people. In TN, there is already a law trying to be passed that restricts the teaching of gay history in schools. That is discrimination.

As mentioned earlier, when teaching about rights movements, it is only natural to teach what the person fighting for. If it were a woman, you would mention it was a woman. If it were a black person, you would mention it was a black person. If it were a homosexual person, you would mention it was a homosexual person.

Just like politics and business. People are hired for their accomplishments on a resume. Obama should be hired/fired for his results and history should be about what people did. Not about their mix of melanin.

If I would approach a child on the street and talk that way I would be arrested for solicting a minor.

I can not wait until some parent charges the school with some kind of sex crime. the schools will stop real fast. I thnk the good people of California should come up with a sex crime charge for each politiction that voted for that thing.
