Only once so far have I liked BOs words/role as president. When he accepted the Nobel Peace prize his speech was exceptional. I was proud of him that day. Otherwise I am total diagreement with evrything else he's done. Oh---deciding to prosecute the terrorists at Guantanimo Bay (although kicking and screaming) was another good choice.

As far as dislike? He seems to ba a likeable person. He seems to have a pleasant demeanor. He seems to be a good husband and father. I don't make it personal. He is simply wrong on almost every issue and has not displayed to me very good leadership or executive skills.

Come on onefaith2! If that had been Bush what would the attitude of the liberals and the main stream press, and maybe you, been toward Bush?

If this had been the only occasion of Obama doing something like this then you could give him the benefit of the doubt. But earlier he had refused, stating why he refused, to wear the flag lapel pen. Oh well, Obama gets a pass for everything!

How did Bush come into the picture? If he had done this, we conservatives leaners would have come up with a reason for this too. Give the guy a break as he isn't getting much these days

At any rate, this economy is past fragile and the worst thing for it is to keep spending as if there's no tomorrow. That just has to stop.

Personally, a shut down doesn't bother me...it's better to do that now then to face what's coming if we don't do something drastic. And since the democrats are playing politics with this (proven by last years lack of budget), there doesn't seem to be any other choice.

The way people have disagreed with him says plenty with their "likability" and "hate" factor. Some of the jokes, short-hands and comments are just vicious. Not only does he have ideas that are disagreeable, but he is a Kenyan-born Muslim, connected to the Muslim Brotherhood, intent on taking America into Socialism, Communism and then blowing them all up in the name of Allah (because there's no way he's Christian).

A shut down would be chaos and extreme economic devastation. Pull our your stock now. Nice to know how many anarchists there are on AFF.

Didn't vote for Billy... but the guy is a genius. I've heard him speak live a couple times and it's obvious how he became President.
