I worked at General Electric in Evendale (near Cincinnati) Ohio from February 14, 1966 till I retired on March 1, 1998. According to the law in Ohio at that time I did not have to join the union to work at GE. There were a couple of unions there depending on the job. I joined the UAW (United Auto, Aerospace, and Agricultural Workers) Union. I did this by choice although the attitude toward those who didn't join was pretty bad. About 6 months later I was offered a salary job and withdrew from the union. Salaried jobs were not covered by union contract in that plant.

The LIGHT is really being shown on the darkness of the republicans. Really this is only helping the re-election of President Obama. All those northern states that is doing what the Wisconsin governor did, will probably go democrat in 2012.
How was it illegal?

Sumi said her ruling would not prevent the Legislature from reconvening the committee with proper notice and passing the bill again.
