The Apostle Paul did not go and test God by finding deadly serpents to pick them up. The serpent attacked Paul out of the fire, and the testimony came when Paul did not die, but shook the viper back into the fire.
Snake handlers may exercise their faith, but do not do it as I have read it done in scripture.
Good point. It wasn't metaphorical at all, in that case.
So, is it literally true that one of the signs that will follow you guys is that you will take up serpents? Or is that one turn into a metaphor at some time after Paul's experience?

I've read your "explanations" of I Tim. 2. You [& everyone else I've ever read] attempt to relegate the passages to the "home environment." Paul expressly wrote the epistle "...so that you may know how to behave yourself in the house-hold of God, WHICH IS THE CHURCH...". I've quoted this until I could pass out, yet you just plod along like it's not there.
As I've repeatedly said, I certainly & highly respect you for your sacrifices, but cannot see how in the world some-one can attempt to justify "women preacher's" in light of clear biblical commands....'round & 'round she goes!

When Jesus gave the great comission was there only men present?I dont remember him telling the women to stay home while the men went out and preached the gospel.
