GO NEWT
If we only allow mosques in America if/when churches are allowed in Saudi Arabia, we have become like the Saudis and we are as bad as they.

I get your drift Sam, yet there is really no consensus in the White House today that even indicates Saudi Arabia is even bad.

It isn't about having a mosque, per se, it is about the particular location. There are already 100 mosques in New York.

The site is the old Burlington Coat Factory where landing-gear assembly crashed through the roof on 9-11. It's two blocks north from Ground Zero.

Apparently, many people in New York think it's too close - 52% of New Yorkers don't want it there, 31% want it and the rest are undecided.

Calling it a "community center" isn't going negate the fact that it is an indoctrination center, IMO.

Most people have little understanding of Islamic culture and therefore miss the significance of this. Islam traditionally builds a Mosque on the site of great military victories of the Jihad. For example, the al-Aqsa Mosque on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. The fact that Islamic officials want to build a Mosque in the immediate vicinity of Ground Zero is a serious statement from the Islamic community.

This is like Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's tender and peaceful letter inviting President George Bush and the American people to embrace Islam. The "Invitation to Islam" is the first step in justifying Jihad. In Islam, if the enemy rejects the invitation... it's open season and Jihad is the next step.

Most Americans have NO CLUE as to what we're dealing with.

You are so right, Aquila. I'm on another forum trying to discuss this very thing, but the libs won't have it! They don't believe any of this.
