And guess who was the invited guest for Crakjak's party! His NINE siblings
and their spouses.
They grilled char-burgers with all the trimmings, Fresh fruit salad,
cake and homemade icecream. Very tasty indeed!
Then we siblings, starting with the eldest, each told a fun memory about
Crakjak, when we were younger.
Still making good memories!

Thanks, Sis, for reminding me of these very sweet memories. Mrs. Crakjak, had asked me a few weeks earlier how i would like to celebrate my 60th, and I said that I would love to have my siblings to the house. However, after that I saw no evidence that it was going to happen, it was a very wonderful surprise.

Re: Planning an Alaskan Cruise for 40 Years!!!
The only thing we didn't like about our ten day Alaskan cruise was that we only got off the ship three times. We should have paid extra for a bigger room, because it started closing in on us after a few days. LOL! I think we read just about every decent book in their library.
We stopped in Skagway (which was my favorite ), Ketchikan (?), and somewhere else - can't remember. It's been about 12 years. I think it was Juneau though.
The scenery is AMAZING! When you pull up to that huge blue ice glacier, it's breathtaking. Take a warm jacket or rain coat though, because you get a lot of cold mist when you're standing out on the deck to see the views. We saw a lot of seals, otters, etc.

Thanks Sherri, we had been advise to get a larger room with an exterior baloney. We are now deciding on which shore excursions to take.

My brother and his wife did a train trip across Alaska when they left the ship. But I think it was an overnight thing.

Re: Planning an Alaskan Cruise for 40 Years!!!
When booking a cruise, if one gets off at Seward, several cruise lines have their own rail cars that go all the way to Fairbanks. The Alaskan railroad and a day into Denali increase exposure to the state. The rail package can be as many as 7 or more days. Stops at Denali, Anchorage, Talkeetna, and rafting on the susitna.
At least the sun starts setting this late in the summer.
