The Feast days
There is a thought here it is a change from my original idea but it still has some merit. Jesus fulfilled the feast on the days the landed if I understand things with the differance that he did not fulfill the fall feast. This is just for concideration.
Jesus did not start with the spring feast, he came to fulfill the law and make it new. Therefore he would have partaken of the day of Atonement the previous year which would have started the last part of confirming the covenenat to makeing all things new.
The last day of Atonement before his crucifiction would have been neccesary to fulfill all the law. Of any day of atonement in the past this one needed to be accepted in order for all past sin to be laid at the cross.
The feast of booths is and should be a memorial of joy, not only for the celibration of all the harvest of the past year had come to an end. But also in remeberance of the time in the wildreness when Isreal live in tents and God provided for their need.
The Passover Jesus instituted to become the communion celibrated today although there is much discution around whether it should be celibrated on the exact day of passover.
First fruits is a little harder I want to relate Jesus raised from the dead for he was the first fruits, but then there was the appering of those dead saints that appeared after Jesus resurection that could corelate to happening on the day of the first fruits. Pure speculation of course.
Then Pentecost and we know the signifcance of pentecost which was truly the end of the grain harvest but just the beginning of the rest of the harvest.
Then trumpets was the beginning of the new year or the end of the old depedning on how you look at it. It was a festival of rest. Rest God rested on the 7th day. The feast of trumpets was of sabbath of the end of the harvest year.
I leave off at this point because I want to see where any one else takes this thought from here I have a couple of ideas and I think Mike hit on one.
