Don't know how to answer your poll, Esther. I'm number three out of eight.
Are the two ahead of you a different gender that you?

I am a first born, married to a first born, of course our oldest child is a first born, so we have only one baby in our family... makes for an interesting situation.
I was a foster child for a while, which mixes things up a bit.
I have been a teacher, massage therapist, and I am currently in school for communication.
Two questions, when you were a foster child what age was you? And second, were there other children in your foster home?

I'm the oldest of 7, but was only raised with my oldest brother. The other five lived with my dad and his wife.
My mom demanded a lot more out of me than my brother, who is just 2 1/2 yrs younger than I. And today, our lives show how detrimental that was to him.
I'm a nurse, but have worked since I was 15, even though I didn't get my degree until last year. However, my brother, although he owns his own construction company (and has for about 10 years) constantly struggles with money and only lived on his own (albeit with the help of his in-laws) while married for about 7 years.
I've lived on my own for over 15 years, but when I lived at home as an adult, I paid rent and bought my own food and supplies. My brother never did that. Still doesn't...LOL!
It is very typical of parents being harder on the first born, which is probably why most have very responsible positions. They are also by nature usually the natural leader in a group.

Are you a first born or the baby of the family? Maybe the middle child? What do you do or did you do to earn a living? Or are you an only child?
Myself I was the second born, first born daughter and raised as an only child until I was 6 by another family.
I was in the banking industry for the bulk of my working years.
I am in the middle. I, like most of my siblings, am a self employed small business owner.

I am a firm believer in the Old Paths
Articles on such subjects as "The New Birth," will be accepted, whether they teach that the new birth takes place before baptism in water and Spirit, or that the new birth consists of baptism of water and Spirit. - THE PENTECOSTAL HERALD Dec. 1945
"It is doubtful if any Trinitarian Pentecostals have ever professed to believe in three gods, and Oneness Pentecostals should not claim that they do." - Daniel Segraves
It's a shame that nobody would have picked out your brother had he been sitting in the wrong place!! LOL!

Were your parents also self employed?

Is there a signficant age difference? And are you the same gender as your other siblings?
Its 4 years between me and my sister directly over me, then there is a 12 year gap. The older 3 are all 2 1/2 years apart. Its all girls and one boy. The boy is the 2nd oldest.
So there is significant age difference between me and the oldest (~20 years), but not me and the sib closest to me.
