Says there are five voters. I see only three preachers (of those I know about). Price, Seguidor, CupCake, and DQ aren't licensed. I don't know about the other ones.

Actaeon, WholeHearted, and Thumper are preachers that I know of.

I'm puzzled why there are about twelve names but only five voters though.
Ok, that's weird. When I first read this post a minute ago, five names were bolded that weren't bolded by me, but now it's not that way.

The bolded names were Actaeon, WholeHearted, Hesetmefree, Thumper, and Oneintheword.

How were those highlighted but they aren't now??

Ahhh...gotcha.....LOL! Thanks.

Did you highlight the names in my post too, or am I losing it?

Thumper is NOT UPC. I can guarantee you! Unless he's had a major change of mind lately.

Where is your biblical tether for standards and holiness?

They're only salvational against the people that won't agree to them.

Exactly. Holiness and standards are inseparable. If one desires to live holy, then standards are among the fruit thereof. No standards, no holiness. Anyone who keeps the line of standards are not holiness are decievers and liars against the scriptures. All area of life means exactly that.

Actually, you disagree with both of us, seems like.

1Peter 1:15-16 is a commandment for holiness in all areas of conversation. This means that our standards (how we dress, where we go, and what we do) is included in this. As a believer in Jesus Christ, I see it absolutely impossible for a man to be holy on the inside and watch the lies and filth on TV. It is impossible for a woman to have a good attitude and still dress like a man or as if she has no morals. It is impossible for a person to claim modestyand wear jewelry that costs hundreds or thousands of dollars just for appearances.

Bill, what are your standards that you live by that make you dress differently than other modestly dressed men in the world?
A very good question. The standards for me, and they are being built upon, are long sleeves in every situation. Though I personally see nothing wrong with short sleeves, the Spirit has brought me to this conviction. Even in Houston heat, I choose to wear long sleeves. My hair is always short, seeing how the Lord is my covering.

It may seem as if there is no difference, and in appearance, you maybe right, but in Spirit, there is.

It has always been my understanding that standards and rules and guidelines were not heaven or hell issues, but rather preferences, protective measures, boundaries, or issues of personal consecration. I was not aware that a large majority of the UPCI ministerial constituency taught these things as heaven/hell issues or salvational issues.

I guess I've been in the dark all these years. So enlighten me.
Well I voted before I read your opening remarks. I am not a licensed minister, although I do teach.
