It's not about taking over anything-- it's about providing a means for the thousands upon thousands of Americans without health care coverage to be covered at a rate that is affordable for them.

There is no law keeping them from saving money. From getting a job. From buying insurance or paying for a docs visit using cash.

You can't decieve me. A welfare mindset sees things differently. I had a bible study student evicted. Wonder why ? She didn't pay her rent. she didn't get her 6,000 dollar wide screen repossessed.

Outside of Active Duty, this is my first job where I have ever been offered health and dental benefits.

I left Active Duty in 1999.

I've worked whenever and wherer I could and have NEVER been offered benefits of substance before this job.

And even now, it's not affordable-- not when you add up my other bills.

I am single. I couldn't imagine what families have to go through-- especially families with children who develop serious medical conditions.


Without health insurance most folks don't get the healthcare theny need until it's emergency room worthy. Then sometimes, it's too late.

I am not at all out of touch with reality. I earn money. My business makes income. We have had employer health coverage since we went in business in the 70's.

We started a 401k in 1992. You can borrow against a 401 for a major medical event. No one ever has here. People can save money for medical emergencies. People can save money for routine healthcare. I had an employee that built a new home. bought 2 new cars and his wife got pregnant. "Reforming healthcare" won't solve the problem of too much personal debt and a loss of one income.
My kid has almost graduated. she bought a new house this summer. she has a new car and a new job with benefits. 21 years old. She worked hard. Had great grades and was offered a job at every campus interview.
