You are out of touch with reality.
Outside of Active Duty, this is my first job where I have ever been offered health and dental benefits.
I left Active Duty in 1999.
I've worked whenever and wherer I could and have NEVER been offered benefits of substance before this job.
And even now, it's not affordable-- not when you add up my other bills.
I am single. I couldn't imagine what families have to go through-- especially families with children who develop serious medical conditions.
Without health insurance most folks don't get the healthcare theny need until it's emergency room worthy. Then sometimes, it's too late.
