They could have sold them all online to the AFF Dieting Crew!
Well, it's chocolate, and it might not look pretty when it arrived, especially in warmer climate areas! So I thought it best not to try and sell any here.

I must admit CC1 when I think back on that day it still runs shivers down my spin, so far I've not look back on it with laughter . I and five other ladies spent all day scrubbing down that church kitchen, draws, counter tops everything top to bottom, mice dropping were everywhere, so I told my family don't eat it, nor would I sell it, I was really worried someone could get sick. The church was over ran by mice, and during many of the service you see a sister jump out her seat and scream due to a mouse that ran across their feet, not the HG... . I hope it's better now~
Cherries ~ Anyone sell these, we always sold them in Aug, $3.00 a basket back them, the church made a good money selling them...Yummy~
30 Years ago, gasoline was 43 cents a gallon. Dad, being frugal decided to take the whole family- Himself, stepmother, Me, my sister and 4 step brothers- on an extended vacation.
The only way to travel- the 32 foot travel trailer, and truck with 10 foot camper shell. The trailer slept 6, the camper 4..... so off we go. First stop was "Cherry Hill Campground" in Salt Lake City. We 6 kids gorged on cherries and took them in paper bags for the thought of the next 2 weeks. To us this was way better than candy. We went to Yellowstone, then West to Portland, OR and the Bonneville Dam. South on I-5 to California and the mandatory Agriculture Division Check-in. I have never been so happy to be rid of something until today as I was that bag of cherries.
To this day, none of my stepbrothers, my sister, nor myself will even eat chocolate covered cherries without gagging.
No Thanks to the Cherries.

No silly! Not peanut brittle! We make and sell chocolate filled eggs (various filling types) and solid chocolate ducks and bunnies. Also bunnies on a stick. Ducks and bunnies and bunnies on a stick come in white chocolate and regular milk chocolate.
In the interest of making AFF a forum of just "unity" I am offering up this thread about peanut brittle.
It should be a subject we can be unified about and have none of that pesky bickering, differing of opinons, and all of that other non unity stuff.
-Does your church make peanut brittle as a moneymaker?
-If so how successful are you? How much do you make and sell and how often?
-Do you know first hand stories of churches paid for by peanut brittle sales? If so share them
-Any funny stories from the making of peanut brittle or the sale of it?
-Any tragedies involving making or selling peanut brittle?
One story from years ago in our Home Missions church in south Carolina - our church was nearly all young men in the Marine Corps and out pastors wife was having us make peanut brittle as a fund raiser. One of my jobs was to shake the little aluminum pie tins after the hot muxture was poured in order to spread it out into a nice round disc. One tin I shook too hard - or too fast and the hot mixture draped over my bare hand and stuck. As my skin stayed with that piece, no one wanted to eat it. Still hurts thinking about it nearly 30 years later.

BoredOutOfMyMind~ Here I thought you were going to say all you kids drank a large glass of milk with them cherries, and were stuck on the side of the road in an RV sicker then dogs....
I've never drank milk with cherries, but I've been warn by many never to do this it's a deadly mix , you'll spend the next few hours before the throne or on your knees wishing you just die ...
Isn't chocolate covered peanut brittle the same as a Heath bar?
I guess the heath bar doesn't have the peanuts in it.
Actually, chocolate-covered peanut brittle is a well-balanced meal:
1. Mostly sugar - from sugar cane (a vegetable) or sugar beets (also vegetables)
2. chocolate - made from beans (cocoa beans) - good for your heart
3. Butter, dairy products are good for you - building strong bones.
4. Peanuts - a great source of protein.
