There is no harm in running the aisles. Once I danced for the devil. Once I shouted at ball games and made a fool of myself in many ways, whether drunk or otherwise. Now, I shout for Jesus. Now I dance unto Him because He is worthy. I am not ashamed of worship. I see so many people in the world who will do embarrassing things but they refuse to get lost in the Holy Ghost. If you have never experienced it please don't mock it. When I dance in worship, the Lord is trampling my enemies under my feet. When I shout, its because I have come through a sore trial and my God has given me the victory. When I run the aisles, I am filled with so much joy that it cannot be contained. Don't forget King David debased himself in worship unto God. He loved the Lord so much he didn't care what he looked like. Michal mocked him, and God shut up her womb. If you won a huge amount of money, tell me, how would you react? Ive seen what people do. When you were married, did you celebrate? How about dancing? shouting? Or was your wedding all dignified, solemn, polite, quiet? If you go to the book of psalms you will find many scriptures that talk about tambourines, drums, clapping the hands etc. Furthermore, do you really, even if there were no scriptures, think that God would ever reject a humble , heartfelt worship that is demonstrative? There is only one thing that causes people to withhold and that is our ugly enemy of pride. I call myself Pentecostal. Aside from issues, there is not another group of believers, and Ive been in many churches, where the worship brings the presence of God like I have found in Apostolic Pentecostals. Maybe it is because God enjoys hearing His children celebrating , and shouting the victory. Maybe He is shouting with us. Go, children, go. I"m shouting with you, I'm jumping with you. He is our Father and He is for us, with us , and in us. I have been in singles conferences where we have danced and shouted and ran for 2 hours. By the way, I,m 61 years old and Ive been doing this for 17 years. What about you "young'uns"
Wow my friend!!!! That is just how its done!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: What are you?

Can you see it? Once my heart was hard and bitter, full of hate. Now, it is clean. I have peace, joy, righteousness. I have hope of a future. I have love I never had before. How can I be still and quiet? I must let the world know. Do you know we will laugh in heaven? Jesus said unless you become as little children you cannot enter the kingdom of God. I know He is talking about childlike faith, but children are happy, they skip, run, jump, laugh, shout.I am a child of God also.

I'm whispering 'I was lost, Now I'm found and forgiven.'
When I say... 'I am a Christian' I don't speak of this with pride.
I'm confessing that I stumble and need Christ to be my guide.
When I say... 'I am a Christian' I'm not trying to be strong.
I'm professing that I'm weak and need His strength to carry on.
When I say.. 'I am a Christian' I'm not bragging of success.
I'm admitting I have failed and need God to clean my mess.
When I say... 'I am a Christian' I'm not claiming to be perfect,
My flaws are far too visible but, God believes I am worth it.
When I say... 'I am a Christian' I still feel the sting of pain..
I have my share of heartaches, so I call upon His name.
When I say... 'I am a Christian' I'm not holier than thou,
I'm just a simple sinner Who received God's good grace, somehow!

Pretty is as Pretty does... but beautiful is just plain beautiful!
This is so beautiful! I'm going to have keep that poem in mind for future references! She's an incredible writer!

Apostolic? While in some ways I identify with the sort of Apostolic mostly presented here, in so many others I know I could never live up to the Apostolic expectations that some post. Because those expectations are what the world associates with Apostolic, when they know what it is, I hesitate to use the label.

Christian? I despise this term because of what it stands for in my mind. In the truest sense, yes I am a follower of Christ, a Christian. But I am not any of the things I immediately think of when I hear or say the word.

Here I drew a blank. What am I?

"Christian I guess, sort of."

So what are you?

Can I ask, why is that "Christian" holds such a bad flavor for you?
Experiences. A whole lot of years of experiences.

God did it for us. Out of sheer generosity he put us in right standing with himself. A pure gift. He got us out of the mess we're in and restored us to where he always wanted us to be. And he did it by means of Jesus Christ. ~Romans 3:24 from The Message
