In fact I told the story of Jesus and prayed with those that kidnapped our son...

Yet, you could scream at them, yes? Or bang a ladle on a pot? Or have one of those airhorn things they use at ballgames? Anything but a weapon of death. Or, perhaps, you are keeping the gun to protect yourself from wild animals? I don't live in a jungle full of wild beasts, so now I can see the reason for your having a gun. It is, also, very commendable that you witnessed to them. It is obviously in your heart to do so, and your burning passion, which is very evident to us all here.

We went from having no guns in our house to three just in the past 6 months. It is unbelievably fun going to the range and taking out paper target after paper target. While we don't keep them loaded, we have fully loaded clips right next to each one that can be slapped in in a second or two.

We also take them hiking since you never know when your going to run into a wild pig, bob cat, or outlaw.

Amen Sis. Alvear! I totally believe we should take precautions! And yes, a bullet for a bullet if need be...

Re: Baptist Pastor Shot In Pulpit Today
Now for the record I do not like guns however after one of the robberies at our home someone gave me the gun but not to kill...just to shoot in the air if I hear noises or whatever....the man that lives across from us said if he hears me shoot he will try to send someone in our compound. Between our people, our churches and us I think I could safely say we have a robbery about every week...it is so dangerous where we live and work...however our trust is in the Lord but at the same time I see nothing wrong with having a gun...I sure am not violent by nature if anything to easy going....

Dear one I stood before wild naked indians and would have given my life....my purpose is not kill...many pastors gave me advice to have a gun...Knowing me I would just start talking in tongues...I had a bandit to press a gun in my stomach once...Lots of experiences with robbers....lol...I ought to write a book just on that....

I do not have a gun at home and now my husband doesn't either, but we are considering getting another one for defense...there is nothing wrong with that...the Israelites had swords and spears...do you honestly think they were for looks?
