I admit it. I hum all the time. It's usually ok. But when I take my kids with me anywhere - to the store or to the movies especially - it makes them NUTS! When we go to the movies they always poke me with their elbows and whisper loudly, "MOM, quit humming along. You don't even know this song!"

I used to whistle all the time. But one of the ladies in the nursing home I worked at told me constantly, "A whistling woman and crowing hen will never come to no good end." So I quit at that point. I knew it was bothering her.

Is this true?
Does anyone know a whistling woman that came to a GOOD END? (trusting this lady didn't really mean to launch a double negative)
