Re: I Tried Ebay For The First Time This Morning

I use eBay all the time. I am an expert sniper!!! I like to see how close I can get my bid to the end of the auction. I got sniped once, and vowed that it would never happen to me again!

I am part of the sniper crowd but I sell more than I buy.

Sniper software really helps. I use it.

I don't go there any more. We used to go there before it changed over to its current format.

My wife and I played Spades online a LOT...

I liked to play Rook too... but she never cared for it.

Me too. I won't even bid if I can't be around at the end of an auction to snipe it.

Who needs software??!! I can bid within the last two seconds of an auction anyway without software. So far, I haven't missed getting an item I really wanted.

Re: I Tried Ebay For The First Time This Morning

I have doing Ebay almost since the beginnng, too. What I don't like is the hidden bids, where you bid and suddenly someone outbids you, then you bid again, and it outbids you again. It can go on for hours. If they can't be there to do their own bidding, they shouldn't have these hidden things. When I find them, I just look elsewhere. Or I'll run up their bid just to be mean because they're taking unfair advantage.

I've been going the Craigslist route myself. Been burned by ebay posters who give you grief, you don't get the things you won, or it's the wrong thing and they won't answer emails, then have the nerve to give you a bad feedback because you turn them in.

When you turn them in, ebay does nothing, anyway. Several times I've turned in people and they did nothing. The offenders are still posting and I was out the money. Good thing in all the cases it was under $10 or I would have had a fit. Maybe that's why THEY didn't care, but those $5, $6, $9 losses add up fast. If I could afford to throw money away, I'd buy those things at the store.

I play scrabble on pogo, and do Cubis on MSNgames.com

Re: I Tried Ebay For The First Time This Morning

I have been active for many years on ebay, but I learned I don't want to spend my time waiting to snipe. I use one of the online sniper sites. If you want to know PM me.

While there are still bargains, it is harder to find them.

I didn't find one there though.
Go to www.replacements.com. That's where I replace any broken pieces I have, of either china or stoneware.
