I am against the death penalty but I am also against the prisons being a rec center for criminals. I think the mother and the grandparents should be put in a prison for life without tv, gyms, basketball courts, vcr's, books, or anything whatsoever that could be considered a luxury. They should be made to perform manual labor for the remainder of their life.
Caylee Anthony won't admit to what really happened to her daughter.
Now the Grandparents are seeking legal immunity and are apologizing for making "misleading statements!"
I'm not real big on issuing the death penalty, but this case is making me rethink my stance on it.
And of course, Caylee Anthony has it so that she CAN NOT be put to death if she is convicted in all of this. For as many folks that the State of Florida has killed, this case, imo, warrants the same punishment-- upon Caylee Anthony's conviction.
Most of all, my heart is heavy for that dead little girl.
Really. What could she have possibly done to deserve to be killed by her own mother?
I am perceiving this to be a case where justice will never be served.
I started a thread last week after they found her body, but no one wanted to talk about it that day-
Only one person responded???
I think this story is one of the saddest-I do pray justice is served.

It's not fun to talk about, Jeanie. I usually read these types of threads without responding.
I will never comprehend these stories where mothers (or fathers) kill their children. Never. Why on earth would you kill a child as opposed to just dropping them off somewhere? Abandon them at a hospital or something. Turn over guardianship to someone else and disappear. But why murder them?
I just don't get it.

Some of the info that they found on the mother's computer leads to an impression of premeditated murder. There were searches about murder using household objects and things like that. I, like Jermyn, also find it difficult to reconcile an accidental death with her conduct immediately after. The grandparents should not be held responsible in my opinion. I don't think they had any involvement or foreknowledge of anything. They are caught in a terrible situation and I feel bad for them. Unless there is evidence that they withheld info or evidence, I don't see what the charge would be. They were forthcoming about the "dead body smell" and things like that, they have been interviewed by the police many times, they allowed their home to be searched repeatedly, they gave info about the gas cans and other potentially incriminating evidence, and they appeared to genuinely press Casey for answers in the recorded conversation.

You are right, it's such a horrible subject.
But my thoughts were the same why do that to a child when there are so many people who would love to have children that would have adopted her-
I know I can't wrap my mind around her selfishness either.
