I been round pentecost for a long time and have always heard that if something was really in the spirit no harm would come to someon who was acting on it. like people runnning in church and things like that.
Me too,but i don't know, my wife fell out in the Spirit and hit her head on something she said it did not hurt at first but it did later.

DAVID A MAN AFTER GOD'S HEART.........
This set of scriptures is not talking about someone caught up in a spirit of laughter (largely because the entirety of the word of God doesn't say a thing about it) but I believe the premise it sets forth.
I don't see where God does things to his people that they do not have control of. Verse 32 clearly states that the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets. I see this to say that God moves on us in certain ways but not in a way that is beyond our own control.
This reminds me of the Holy Laughter movement......you know, Rodney Howard Browne, the Holy Ghost bartender down at Joel's place(Joel 2:28) who in his services tells you to belly up to the bar so to speak....but at least he does warn that you may need a designated driver after one of his services.
There was an incident that happend last year at a UPC church
There was a family that had a Family reunion. On Sunday Morning, they all went to church. One of the family members was Baptist. They asked her to come froward for prayer where members surrounded her and eventually the crowd shoved her down.
She laid on the ground for a long time - They thought she was slain in the spirit but really what had happend, she had hit her head one the edge of the pew and ended up with a concusion. Eventually, one of the members realized it was serious and 911 was called. Ambulance attendees carried her out and she ended up in the hospital for 2-3 days.
She filed a suit against the church but eventually dropped the charges at the ugency of her relatives
32And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets.
33For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.
Sorry but God does expects us to be intelligent with what he gives to us. Wreckless driving is not intelligent.
This is exactly why I don't buy into the whole "drunk in the spirit" thing myself. I believe the Lord can touch someone and that person and put themselves into that state, but God won't, not unless He is trying to teach them a lesson such as turning Nebuchadnezzar into a wild man for a time.
