Re: We're Not Putting X-Mas Trees Up!
Can anyone tell me what Santa Claus, trading gifts, Christmas trees with tinsel, and ornaments have to do with Christmas. And put it in light with Jeremiah 10 (KJV).

The word "mass" refers to assembly as in, Forsake not the assemling of yourselves together.
It also refers to communion.
Which Christ asked we do in rememberance of his body and blood.
What is in a word?
You believe in the Rapture.
Yet it does not appear in the bible.
We do celebrate the communion over the Christmas season and we do assemble together to celebrate.
That without a birth there would be no cross.

Hey, Neck, you are foaming and running down the rabbit hole! Come back, Neck, come back! What does the above have to do with the Catholic Tree mass being unbiblical? Neck? Mellow, mellow, mellow.

About as much as the Easter Bunny has to do with Easter.
But we do not skip Easter because a few pagens through in a bunny and some eggs.
Skip the passion play next year...
You look bad in your walk with Christ because you have taken up with the bunny.
I also have a hard time wondering why folks will commemerate Easter but not Christmas.

Interesting, very interesting. You know you must of brought up the fork deal at least three times. Can you show me were pagans worshiped a fork?
Also where did the Catholic or Protestants churches ever adopt the fork into their faiths and pass it down unto the other Christian sects?

I pervert it? Where did you get that from? You have a pagan Catholic holiday that has a Tree with jewelry on it and claim it represents Jesus Christ's birth, and you say I pervert it? My dear fellow poster, you cannot pervert something that is already tainted.

Try out some Charles Dickens, his wish was that it was kept round the year.
Sad thing is you seem not to be doing that? Forget the green trees and practice your faith year round.

I don't celebrate Easter with Bunnies, colored eggs, or special candy.....these things only cloud the meaning of Easter and aren't needed for the day.

Can anyone tell me what Santa Claus, trading gifts, Christmas trees with tinsel, and ornaments have to do with Christmas. And put it in light with Jeremiah 10.

Re: We're Not Putting X-Mas Trees Up!
If you want to use the term "XMAS" instead of the correct word "CHRISTMAS" you may as well join the rest of the athiests who are fighting to have the word Christmas removed. Because Christ is in Christmas, it condemns people. I take personal offense when anyone eliminates Christ and replaces Him with an "X." Keep Christ out and we are guaranteed to have more and more of our religious rights removed. The way the world is going, we will soon be in the tribulation.
Just another thought - Throughout my years of ministry, the parents who lived a life full of the Word, with love, compassion, and a godly example, tended to have children who were consecrated to God. The parents who crammed it down their kids throats and ruled their home with iron fists had the highest percentage of backslidden children who, when they became adults, hated church and anything to do with God.
