I'm not being contentious, just asking, Do we really know what the Nicene Creed said in its original form? Don't we have a modified version from years later? It seems to me that I had read or heard that the original creed could be agreed to by a person who considers himself oneness. I'm just asking if anyone knows what the original creed said.

Re: Dan Scott's Thought on Trinity
It sounded more in line with oneness thinking. I agree with his thoughts on there.

So, just how Trinitarian are they? On a scale of 1 - 10, 1 being Oneness and 10 being tri-theists, how trinitarian are they?
It's a fair question.

Oneness thinking?
Did you see what he said about the Nicene Creed?
His own words:
"The first and most important of these creeds is called the Apostles' Creed. No one knows for sure when it was written. We do know that Christians were quoting it in the second century. A couple of centuries later another important creed, called the Nicene Creed, was written. There are few Christians anywhere, with all our differences, who do not accept the doctrines that these creeds teach."
Is this man serious? I've never heard any Oneness believer embrace the Apostles's Creed. Ever.
One need not be an Apostolic bible scholar to know that this creed does not reflect Oneness doctrine.
The Nicene Creed.
We believe in one God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, and of all things visible and invisible.
And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only-begotten Son of God, begotten of the Father before all worlds, God of God, Light of Light, Very God of Very God, begotten, not made, being of one substance with the Father by whom all things were made; who for us men, and for our salvation, came down from heaven, and was incarnate by the Holy Spirit of the Virgin Mary, and was made man, and was crucified also for us under Pontius Pilate. He suffered and was buried, and the third day he rose again according to the Scriptures, and ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of the Father. And he shall come again with glory to judge both the quick and the dead, whose kingdom shall have no end.
And we believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord and Giver of Life, who proceedeth from the Father and the Son, who with the Father and the Son together is worshipped and glorified, who spoke by the prophets. And we believe one holy catholic and apostolic Church. We acknowledge one baptism for the remission of sins. And we look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. Amen.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

He is a diplomat and a gentleman but in his heart of hearts he has to be discouraged and his wife even worse. The church they have supported for years is going to undergo a change that I doubt if these folks wind up staying. Elder Hardwick was PCI to the core but his personal experience and history kept somewhat the Pentecostal color in the church but with time.....and now this. The slippery slope that is mocked here on the forum is plaining seen here if you have eyes and ears.
