I think we get anointing mixed up sometimes with natural giftings of personality, charisma, natural God given communication skills and relating with people.
Some men just have a very commanding way of relating with a congregation from the pulpit. They're fluent, never stuck for words, have the gift of gab, know how to grab people's attention, etc. That is not anointing.
On the other hand I've seen men who had speech impediments, naturally shy and retiring but when they began to minister there was an authority about them, there was the presence of God that emanated from them and that connected with the spirits and hearts of the people sitting in the pews that was unmistakeably an anointing that came from heaven. Nothing so much about the man.
Anointing (Greek "chrisma") is the blessing and favour of God. If that's the case then I'm mightily anointed and so are many of you.
I love this scripture..........
1Jo 2:27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.
