That's funny, especially since even many of Obama supporters admit that he'd be the most liberal/leftist president America's ever had. But I guess you cant bring yourself to admit something that's obvious even to many of his own supporters. That's fine. I'm sure life must be good over where you live, in the land of The Nile (...that is, "Denial").

I am like you, I don't think endorsements really make a big difference. I just saw Martin Sheen this morning and some other celebrities on Morning Joe and it just humors me that these Hollywood snobs think they are so important that a significant nmumber of people would actually vote based on what they say and do.
Yeah but one of his sons is such a role model.........

I don't know, I think a lot of people (not me ) actually will vote because someone they like, or look up to, endorses a certain candidate.
Remember, everyone is not as smart as us.
ARPH
Ain't that the truth. We could really run the country from AFF..................

I would vote for Colin Powell. However, I would not vote for Obama or McCain on his endorsement of either.

Gen. Colin Powell announced in 1995 that he was registered as a Republican and has held his most strategic positions of influence and power in Republican Administrations.
If there is anyone in the Washington crowd who is not corrupt, it would be Colin Powell.
Which all the more reason for him to NOT tarnish his reputation by endorsing any one candidate.
If he does endorse Sen. Obama and Sen. Obama does win, you can expect to see Gen. Colin Powell again in a place of influence and power, but this time in a Democrat Administration.
Which would not shock me-- Sen. Obama has been painted as this far left guy, but in reality, he's not that far left of a guy.
Colin Powell, would be a huge asset to whoever wins the election. A man of his stature and respectability needs to be involved in government at some level, IMO.

I think it's a legitimate observation to make, Mike. Let's kid ourselves here.
For someone who insists he's not supporting either of these 2 candidates, you don't exactly come across as "fair and balanced" here. If you don't have a preference for either one, it just seems odd that you would spend a disproportionate amount of time bashing McCain on this forum moreso than Obama.
It's certainly you're right to observe, believe what you want.

Yes indeed.
That's why several of us, after observing a pattern in many of your posts, have come to what seems like the common-sense conclusion.
Good day to u, sir.

Even though he disagreed with some of the handling of the war, this is his words and his view on Hussein in Iraq. This would be around 37 minutes into the interview.
Quote:
Believe me, he (Hussein) had the intention. Is anyone sure we wouldn't be seeing those weapons and stockpiles now? This was a man determined to threaten his own people, to threaten the region.
He had such weapons in the past and he had used them in the past. A lot of them were destroyed in Desert Storm and in the aftermath of Desert Storm with the UN inspectors. But he had not changed who he was. And so President Bush felt strongly that this was a problem that had to be dealt with now, either through peaceful means by the changing the nature of the regime, or by military means, a regime change totally.
